Wall Curio Cabinet

I actually built this curio cabinet a couple years ago. My wife liked it so much she wanted me to build another one.
Then her friend saw it one day and she wondered if I would build one for her. Of course I said yes…
The wood is black walnut as one can obviously see in the photos. After some thought, the size ended up being 12”
by 14” by 3” deep. All the angles were cut at 22 1/2 degrees and the mating parts held together with biscuits and glue. The back mirror was cut to appropriate angles along with the front door glass. The glass and mirror were held in place with small beads of silicone. Shallow dados were cut into the inner sides for glass shelving prior to assembly. My choice for finish was a rub-on polyurethane.

As you can see, a small wood project can add a lot of attraction for any room in your home.

This is a real looker. Nice writeup on your method.
Seems like the door and front glass could be optional…..................

To answer Dusty, the cabinet is 3” inches deep and the door is 3/4” inches.
